help with my medical bills from a unexpected surgery.

I had the surgery on June 14, 2007. I had to get my appendix removed. Up to this day I am still receiving bills in the mail. I have health insurance but they won't take care of the expenses, at the time I wasn't enroll in the health insurance program. so I have to come up with the funds myself. I have six different bills right now...
